Meet the cubesys Team

Paul Heaton is an exhausted father of two active boys. When recovering at work his passion is to deliver meaningful digital transformation. He deeply believes that the function of IT is to positively impact our business and individual interactions, so he co-founded cubesys to help clients achieve this goal.
Paul brings over 20 years of practical experience in IT management and project delivery across a variety of roles, most recently as CEO of cubesys. He holds a dual degree in Business Management and Chemical Sciences from UMIST, Manchester and to this day is traumatised by the thought of Organic Chemistry.

Silvan possesses 20+ years of experience in IT, focussing on consulting, product development and all the other different aspects of his current role as Co-Founder and CTO at cubesys.

He loves collaborating with his team and making sure clients get the best possible solution out of their investment in a simple, useable and effective way. Always pushing technical boundaries for solutions that put the focus on the user to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Chris has many years of experience as a Solutions Architect. His deep background in Infrastructure, Network, Security and Managed Services is making him an all-rounder when it comes to technology and how it is used in enterprises today. He is a problem solver who enjoys tackling a business, operations or technical problem and coming up with technologies that empower businesses to evolve. 

John provides clients with solutions that aid them in their cloud lifecycle management. He has a background in Full Stack Development and does a lot of coding and problem solving using, C#, .Net, nodeJS, ReactJS, fullstack development, with a specialty in backend development. He enjoys working with the dev team to come up with appropriate solutions to his client’s problems.

Josh loves to tackle complex design and development challenges and transform them into custom software solutions that make his colleagues and clients life’s easier. He enjoys learning and developing his skills along the way and is currently completing his work experience at cubesys in order to finish his Bachelor degree in Software Engineering.

George is an enthusiastic technical consultant with 10+ years’ experience specializing in end user computing in both physical and virtual worlds working in large educational and corporate environments. He helps organisations to allow their employees to work remotely and securely using various technologies such as VMware, Citrix, WVD and SCCM.

Friday drinks are a favourite for George and he always needs a coffee before he gets technical.

Andrew has 15+ years’ experience in senior operational and support roles, solution architecture, design, professional services and project management. Andrew specialises in Azure cloud services, Windows Virtual Desktop, Microsoft 365, Azure AD and Enterprise Mobility and Security. He endeavours to help business adopt cloud technologies and practices with simpleness and efficiency.

Ian is a highly experienced, value-driven professional with 20 years of experience in delivering programs of work focused on organisational and technical change. Passionate about developing IT organisations to continuously improve themselves. Helping organisations find the right balance of traditional and contemporary work practises to deliver Agile, Bimodal IT environments that can support businesses in the modern marketplace.

Benson has extensive technical expertise from many years of working in end user computing and modern workplace solutions for government agencies and corporate enterprises. At cubesys Benson helps clients to achieve modern workplace capabilities with their end user computing platforms and enjoys exploring modern technologies along the way, to see how they can help improve efficiencies for our customers.

Josh previously worked in logistics and wrote his thesis on machine learning. He enjoys working with cutting edge technology and exploring the extreme boundaries that can be found. At cubesys he solves technical problems by leveraging technology and automation.

David is a recent graduate from Macquarie University looking to build his career in software development. He’s eager to put his skills to use by solving problems and working on challenging projects.

Peter is an IT professional with 15 years experience and a fascination with anything technology. Aside from being our in-house DJ, when Peter’s not at work, you can find him spending time with his young family or in the gym.

Dan has been working as an IT technician for approximately 17 years and a beer puller prior to that. He seeks to help people work better with technology while fixing issues before they become a problem. Dan is a proud dog dad times three and cricket lover.

Astha is a science and technology marketing leader and holds bachelors, masters and PhD degrees in science. At cubesys, Astha strives to elevate the business within the cloud digitisation industry in ANZ and works with top technologies such as Microsoft to make that happen. Astha loves to identify business opportunities, cutting edge tools and technologies that assist in implementing best marketing practices and likes to take an integrated approach to the function. With her keen interest in diversity, innovation and entrepreneurship in STEM, Astha serves as the Advisory Board member at the Women in Leadership Development Program and the entrepreneuship program Mentor at CSIRO.

Thanura has about 4 years experience in IT infrastructure platforms. He strives to help people use technology efficiently and effectively by not only resolving difficult technical issues, but also learning from these problems.

Tunde is an Azure Cloud advocate and enthusiast that goes out of his way to ensure customers are having the best experience working with Microsoft Cloud technologies. He enjoys providing solutions to complex problems. When he isn’t working, he’s an avid sports lover.

Nishant Shrestha is a dynamic IT Specialist with two years of experience specializing in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. Renowned for his exceptional troubleshooting skills, Nishant excels at diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for clients. His proficiency in cloud services and productivity solutions is matched by his enthusiasm for continuous learning and innovation in the tech landscape. Outside the office, Nishant is an adventurous spirit who enjoys exploring new destinations and is passionate about cricket and football, embodying a vibrant blend of professional expertise and active lifestyle.

Bharath is a IT engineer and Macquarie University graduate. With 3 years of experience in technical support roles, he thrives on solving complex challenges. His true passion lies in the realm of Cyber Security, where he constantly seeks to expand his knowledge and promote digital safety.

Beyond the tech world, Bharath finds solace in outdoor sports, particularly Table Tennis and Volleyball, which keep him not only physically active but also foster his team spirit. Feel free to connect and explore the exciting domains of technology and Cyber Security together with Bharath. 

Andy is a natural problem solver with a deep fascination for technology who enjoys taking on complex issues. He has 8+ years’ experience specialising in project delivery and technical support roles. An advocate for continuous improvement and passion on crafting the best solutions for our customers. A testament to Andy’s relentless pursuit is his commitment to push the boundaries of what is possible in cloud computing.

Benoit has more than 20 years of experience as Microsoft technologies expert. He has been recognised as Microsoft Most Valuable Professional for more than 15 years. He loves sharing his knowledge about new technologies.

Aslam is a sales admin with over 6 years of experience in sales. New to the IT industry and an avid sports fan. If Aslam is not spending time with his Family, he is either playing or watching a sport.

Amar brings wealth of IT Managed Services experience to the Team, having worked in IT Support, Systems Engineering and Azure Cloud Technologies. Outside of work, He goes snorkelling on weekends and enjoy leisurely walks on the beach with a cup of coffee. His favourite coffee is Cappuccino.

Katrine is an agile leader with a people-centric approach. She excels in service desk operations across SMEs, government, and large enterprises. Instrumental in driving operational enhancements for heightened productivity and business growth, while maintaining a customer-centric focus. Passionate about developing teams and fostering genuine engagement for strong business outcomes. Demonstrates flexible leadership in dynamic environments, with a knack for problem-solving and innovation.

Outside of work, Katrine enjoys music, cooking, cycling, and travel.

Jehad Gabasa, our dedicated Support team member at cubesys. With nearly four years of Azure Cloud services experience, Jehad’s passion lies in ensuring the utmost satisfaction for all customers. Jehad plays a pivotal role in a dynamic team of Azure engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. With expertise in Azure technologies, scripting, JSON, and desktop support, Jehad embodies our commitment to delivering top-notch technical solutions and customer service excellence.

Asma is a B2B marketing professional with over three years of experience, specializing in employer branding and corporate communications. She excels at crafting engaging content, managing social media platforms, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver successful campaigns.

Outside of work, Asma enjoys reading and baking.

Hiruna is a finance and operations admin with over 5 years of experience in finance and business operations. Having worked with a variety of clients, from individuals to businesses, Hiruna has helped them achieve their financial goals. 

Outside of work, you’ll find Hiruna on the badminton court, where he channel competitive spirit as a national athlete for Sri Lanka. 

Kanthan is a technology evangelist with over 20 years of experience in the field, from racking servers in data centres to advising company executives on digital transformation. His passion lies in engaging with business leaders—from startups to large enterprises—about their goals and strategies for growth through technology. With a deep understanding of leading technology stacks, Kanthan now focuses on helping partners expand their cloud practices and adapt to digital transformation trends.
