Exchange Online – Hybrid Configuration Wizard Could not convert string to DateTimeOffset error

As you are now aware, the Exchange Hybrid Configuration Wizard (HCW) has been recently updated (see https://t.co/p3WYcmBpGD) to reach a new major version(17.xxx)

Well, after updating the HCW to the latest version, you may face the following issue when you try to run it to configure or update your Exchange Hybrid Configuration when connecting to your Exchange Online tenant (initial steps)

Could not convert string to DateTimeOffset: 0001-01-01T00:00:00. Path ‘[0].LastDirSyncTime’, line 1, position 155.

While an update version is coming through, the workaround is to set the time zone of the device running the HCW to UTC (or less)

Or using the command prompt (run as administrator)

tzutil /s “UTC”
