Intune – Administrator accounts do not need anymore to be licensed

Until now, Intune/Endpoint Configuration Manager administrator accounts had to be licensed to be able to access the Intune/Endpoint administration portal and manage the service.

Well, good news, this license requirement is no longer needed.

You can now enable administration access without licensing your administration accounts.

To start enabling this access, logon to your Intune/Endpoint Configuration Managed administration portal (https://endpoint.microsoft.com/) and access the Tenant AdministrationRoles blade

There, access the Administration Licensing blade to turn on unlicensed admin access

NOTE once this unlicensed admin access is turn on you can not turn it off

Then you can remove licenses assigned to administrator accounts
