Teams – You can now apply retention policy to Teams private channel messages

As you know, information compliance and data retention is important.

Well, until then messages in private channels where not being retained.

Good news, you can now get Teams private channel messages to be added into retention.

Logon to your compliance portal (https://compliance.microsoft.com/) and access the Information governance blade and then the Retention policies tab to create a new retention policy

And then you can turn on the retention on the Teams private channel messages
